The ALC Approach
At ALC, our support is deeply rooted in a person-centred approach that honours each individual’s preferences, rights, and developmental needs. We avoid one-size-fits-all programmes and instead customise our assistance to promote independence, emotional health, and active engagement in everyday life.
Our mission is to support the development and well-being of autistic individuals by placing individual differences and meaningful relationships at the forefront of our approach. We are committed to delivering person-centred support that respects each individual's unique strengths, challenges, and communication styles. By fostering trust, emotional connection, and community inclusion, we aim to create environments where individuals with autism can build confidence, form lasting relationships, and reach their full potential.
Our Services
Day time opportunity
Provides 1:1 or 2:1 support for individuals with complex needs in a safe and secure environment. The provision focuses on building a relationship of trust, supporting proactive interventions to provide individuals with complex needs access to the community, and have positive relationships
No Limits
No Limits provides out-of-school social skills sessions for children and young people. All staff are trained in the DIR®/Floortime approach and Positive Behaviour Support.
Our focus is on helping individuals to regulate, engage, communicate and problem-solve, while building meaningful and trusting relationships with both staff and peers. The sessions offer a supportive environment where children can develop confidence, social understanding and emotional resilience through natural interaction and play.
ALC - Life Hub
Autism Life Hub is a new initiative by Autism Life Centres, created to support Autistic adults in building the skills they need to live more independently, confidently, and socially connected lives. This will be provided in groups and based on individuals not needing 1:1 support.
ALC - Training and Consultation
We offer training and consultation to deepen understanding of the ALC approach, which merges DIR® principles with the principles of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).
In addition, we offer specialist Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) training, assessment and therapy, delivered by our SLT Jade with expertise in autism and communication development.
Why Choose Us?
At ALC, our first priority is always to build a genuine, trusting relationship. We take time to understand each person, recognising their individuality, strengths, and preferences.
We presume competence, valuing every individual’s potential to learn, communicate, and grow when given the right support.
Our team is dedicated to going above and beyond, ensuring that each person receives compassionate, high-quality care that promotes confidence, connection, and a meaningful life.
